what

we really build is confidence.

Hiring a builder shouldn’t be a leap of faith or an exercise in
anxiety management. At Edifice, our process, people and
past experience all add up to a partner you can count on to
work tirelessly, thoughtfully and creatively on your behalf.

Tim Fahey Warehouse/Safety Director

“Nothing will work, unless you do.”

- Tim Fahey

Tim honed his early foreman skills managing an oceanfront pizza restaurant on Kauai – and if you can keep employees focused and productive when they’re beachside, then for Tim, managing a construction team in the Pacific Northwest is a piece of cake, or should we say “a slice of pie”.
Donna Golden Vice President / Senior Project Manager

"There is always one unexpected little moment in life when a door opens to let the future in" - Graham Greene

- Donna Golden

Donna has a passion for sustainability; her favorite projects are centered on community building and integrated social goals. A career “high point” – it’s a neighborhood built around the ground breaking premise of affordability, livability, and sustainability.
Doug Griffin Foreman

“The best part about the job - it’s done right!”

- Doug Griffin

Growing up, baseball and hockey were Doug’s favorite sports. The team concept, that’s what he likes most about Edifice too. Clients are part of that team experience for him, and the more collaborative the client, the better the working relationship.

Jason Mumme Vice President / Senior Project Manager

“Remember the work ethic? So do we. We think a job well done is the only job worth doing.”

- Jason Mumme

Jason takes great pleasure in solving the problems that confound the rest of us, all the while keeping his cool. This was evident early in his career as a shopping cart repairman, when squeaky wheels got the most attention. Now he practices his cool every day, building trust with clients and growing a brand new brand at Edifice.
Dave Rath Foreman

“Don’t dwell on the problem. Concentrate on the solution.”

- Dave Rath

For Dave, a penny saved is more than a penny earned. His coin collection started with the pennies his grandfather gave him and their value is immeasurable. It’s nice to have someone on your project who knows that every little detail is just as important as the big ones.

Scott Rock Senior Superintendent

“If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right.”

- Scott Rock

He’s a world traveler, and used to be a jungle skills training instructor in South America, a place where a lack of skills can get you killed. That said; it’s perfect training for any contractor. Scott’s always prepared to meet a challenge and he clearly understands what it means to be between a rock and a hard place.
Anita Santos Accounting

“You only live once” – spoken like a woman who’s survived 6 teenagers!

- Anita Santos

Anita may be tiny, but she’s a lot stronger than she looks. Just ask all 6 of her kids, and while you’re at it, you can ask her grandkids too. She brings a level of discipline to her job at Edifice, as she holds everyone “accountable” putting the numbers together to equal the words “on budget”.
Fred Van Vurst President

“What do I like about Edifice? We’ve got a team approach with a focus on ethics.”

- Fred Van Vurst

Fred keeps his Triumph TR-6 sports car in top down form; it’s a vintage vehicle with plenty of get up and go. He puts drive and momentum into his work ethic as well, and clients really appreciate how he handles an unexpected curve or a sudden acceleration.
Chris Whitten Project Manager

“One more!”

- Chris Whitten

Chris is a collector (some might even toss around the term “hoarder”) who knows the value of acquiring, organizing, displaying and maintaining a group of unique items. Like the talents on display at Edifice, Chris is happy to be part of a great collection of people and working on some high profile projects.

Why Edifice?

We think a bid ought to
be based on something.
Preferably, reality.

When we estimate the cost of a project, we apply a proven process that asks more questions, considers more contingencies, and produces a price based on what the final scope of the project is likely to be. The result? Transparent pricing for you up front that is far less likely to result in change orders later.

There’s no such thing
as a minor detail.

Every project succeeds or fails in the details. So from our exhaustive pre-construction planning to our meticulous finish work—and through clear and consistent communication every step of the way—we’ve made it a signature point of pride to invest the time, talent and energy necessary to do your job right the first time. We have a reputation for quality. Our attention to detail is the reason why.

Why we wear
the Eco logo.

In this day and age, construction and sustainability ought to be synonymous. That’s why we’ve built sustainable practices right into our standard operating procedures. We think separating and recycling construction debris—to take one example—should be the industry norm. For us, sustainability isn’t something we spend a lot of time talking about. It’s something we just do—for the planet, and for the good of our clients’ projects.

At Edifice, we choose to focus on sustainability where it matters most: on your jobsite, among the crews who are doing the work. Only with their day-in, day-out commitment and attention to detail can we transcend talk and deliver projects that are truly, cost-effectively sustainable.
